Frequently asked questions.
We may not have all the answers… but we have a few. And if you’re wanting to check your glucose levels with no pain, Genteel is the best option out there.
Question 1: How is Genteel different from other lancing devices?
With vacuum technology, depth control, and alternate site testing, Genteel is the only pain free lancing device on the market. Our patented Nozzle and Contact Tip Assembly ensures the shallowest poke possible, while vacuum lifts the skin to avoid the underlying pain nerves. Vibration aids further in the blocking of pain signals to the brain, while vacuum draws test blood to the surface.
In contrast, other lancers have limited ability to control penetration depth. Their spring- loaded mechanisms can result in a painful, incomplete blood draw, and the need to lance and squeeze multiple times. Genteel uses varying skin thickness to your advantage by giving you the ability to customize your testing experience. Find your favorite testing spots and accompanying Contact Tips, and let skin heal.
Does Genteel use a lancet?
Yes, so we’re still poking and blood is still drawn. However… Genteel is manufactured to draw blood with a patented vacuum technology. This means that our lancets go deep enough to draw blood but shallow enough to avoid pain nerves. The result is a pain free blood draw experience. Don’t believe us? How do I know which contact tip to use?
We always recommend starting with the thickest tip first (Blue) and working your way down to the thinner tips until you find your sweet spot. You may find that one Contact Tip works great for one area of the body, while another color/thinness works better for a different site. Overall, it's important to test it out to find what works for your individual needs.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
